From Traditional To Digital Lifestyle — Leverage the Internet “Escape The Rat Race”
By the way, “Rat Race Escape Plan” by Andy Tanner was one of the first e-books I discovered to change my mindset about work, life, and money.

What´s the Rat Race? You probably heard that term before. People say things such as “I´m stuck in the Rat Race” or “I hope that someday I can get out of this Rat Race”.
99% of the population relates to the Rat Race term. So I decided to find a way out. :)

Hello! My name is Matea and I´m happy to share that I was recently invited to write an About Me post by Quy Ma, the Medium writer. Thanx Quy Ma, I appreciate this information :)

I think that About Me Introduction can help connect everyone together at Medium, by introducing themselves.

I am pretty new to Medium, but I like writing. It´s much easier to write what you think than say what you think. When it comes to blogging, I never thought that I will create blog content in WordPress.

Let me tell you a little bit about me first. I´m 31 and currently live in Stockholm´s suburbs Sweden with my boyfriend. I come from Croatia originally, so my bf and I moved abroad from Croatia to Sweden back at the end of 2014.

Nowadays, I work in the health care industry for the last few years. Moving abroad without any job, network, or accommodation (as my bf and I did) was the biggest challenge, I can´t stress enough.

After all, I continued my brave journey. In 2017, I discovered Rich Dad Poor Dad's book by famous entrepreneurs, educators Robert Kiyosaki and Kim Kiyosaki. I have learned the news about money, the right financial education, how money works, how to use it, and many facts that do not relate to traditional broken education.
This way, I am thankful that R.Kiyosaki wrote a book that inspired me not even thinking to go to college again in my entire lifetime.

The reason why that book inspired me is mostly that I have graduated in Finance at college in Croatia. I felt scammed when I realized that I was brainwashed all the time thinking that chasing a job to work for money until retirement makes most lives normal.

Or any other job selling time to get a “stable” monthly salary in return, which means building someone else´s happiness. Okay, I know, everyone needs money to put the food and drink on the table.
Money is just a tool. You become its master either its slave.

So…I´m one of those Millennials ( age 23–38 )

It´s not only about money, personal development as well. I have changed my mindset about the world and life since I´ve read RichDad PoorDad.

Being that said, I will never go back to the old mindset. I believe in a better life, freedom, an abundant life, success, living on my own terms without having a fear of having a job or not. In reality, most jobs will be replaced in the next 10–20 years, digital.

Nowadays, my passion is to empower millennial entrepreneurs to start, grow and scale new and existing businesses and live a freedom lifestyle.

I love reading books in my spare time, articles, and blog posts related to a digital lifestyle, online opportunities, personal development.

Besides “RichDad PoorDad”, I have also read books like: “Fake Money, Fake Assets, Fake Teachers”, “One Thing” “The Richest Man In Babylon” by George S. Clason, “The Secret” “The Shift”.

Going back to my college days in Croatia, I had a desire to start a blog. The only thing which held me back were other people underestimated my blog work. I stopped writing a blog back in those days. The blog was named “Be Yourself”. Then I discovered WordPress and finally got an opportunity to find my true potential.

The truth is, the true potential lies within people. I believe it is essential to find your true passion and live the life you truly love to live. Without any limits.

I spend my free time outdoors, taking a walk, or reading articles about online marketing, researching the Internet. Otherwise, my free time includes preparing food as well, e.g. oven-baked salmon, Janssons Frestelse, Mexican food, baking chocolate cake.
You probably guess I´m gonna share some food recipes instead, but you know what? Yes, food is a great niche industry where people actually start their profitable businesses.
