We all feel good to be liked, but it can come at a cost. What is that behind that anxiety about being liked?

In today´s world, we use smartphones every day on the Internet to share pictures, videos. We post the best photo out of the selfies we took and get the most likes to prove to ourselves that we are likable.

In the offline world, we worry about what to wear to make sure we look good in others´ eyes.

The best way to stop worrying about what other people think is to be your own friend. Once you become your own friend, you stop allowing other people to control your feelings.

The fact is, the only person that can heart your feelings is you.

5 Ways To Stop Caring What Other People Think:

  1. GET TO KNOW YOURSELF

Let me ask you: How well do you know yourself? I don´t talk about learning about your family history or about your favorite color. What I am talking about is much greater, what most matters to you and what do you want to become for real.

Do you want to become that society said you should become, e.g. lawyer, dentist, or salesperson in the traditional economy, by trading your time for other company´s happiness?

Do you want to become free, both financially and geographically? That sounds better 🙂

BE YOUR OWN FRIEND

You don´t need to have millions of people around you or do what society says you should do. Freedom is that you are able to be different from the crowd.

For example, everyone has had a real fight with one of their friends. The truth is when we fight, our intention is to want to correct the other person´s version of the truth.

So, stop fighting for perfection, be willing to correct the other person, stop criticizing yourself, and love yourself instead — because it is not selfish.

You will never speak to anyone more than you speak to yourself in your head. Be kind to yourself.

KNOW YOUR VALUE

Realize that you need to feel confident in your decisions. Being yourself with confidence and knowing that you´re living your values is a great way to know how valuable you are.

Knowing your core values is like having a brighter flashlight to get you through the woods.

UNDERSTAND THAT EVERYONE MAKE MISTAKES

For instance, we live in a culture where we don´t often talk about how we feel. We all make mistakes, even if you´re doing your best, you will make mistakes.

There is nothing wrong with it. We all do mistakes and we all have. One thing you can do with your mistakes is to learn from them.

CONTROL YOUR MIND

In reality, our thoughts are influenced by our moods, what we ate for dinner, states of tiredness, the weather, what we learned as kids, and so on. They are like mental habits. So, to change those habits, take time to change.

Reading a blog post about how to control your mind will be helpful both in business and private life. Please read Strategies on How To Take Control Your Mind by Tony Robbins.

“The greatest prison people live in, is the problem of what other people think” Your character is who you really are.

If you want to change yourself, and live life on your own terms, without worrying about what other people think, you´re in the right place.

Please share, leave a comment, or your thoughts!

Have A Great Day! 🙂
